Ontario is in the process of creating a functioning College to regulate the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This will be separate from the acupuncture practice of other health care providers such as the College of Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, and Registered Massage Therapists who only treat anatomical pain.
Under the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario, TCM practitioners will be regulated to treat the body as a holistic system helping with more then just pain management.
In my personal experience of healing with acupuncture and massage, I have had positive results and gained knowledge for treating digestive disorders, fatigue depression and stress. I began learning about healing the body trough reflexology on the feet and ears. This has taught me to use the whole body as an instrument of healing. I take into consideration how a client might be helped by acupuncture, massage, ear and foot reflex points, supplements, teas, diet and Tai Chi exercises.
In my clinical experience I have been exposed to infertility, multiple sclerosis, chronic sinusitis and many aches and pains that are commonly treated by acupuncture such as: migraines; back pain; knee pain; dizziness; ringing in the ears; constipation; diarrhea and many other acute and chronic conditions.
