As a massage therapist I am often asked how often I go for massage therapy? The answer is not nearly enough.
It’s sometimes too easy to get caught up in day to day living and forget to look after myself. And then I remember: it’s the perfect way to unwind and massage really does help on several different levels:
Of the physical benefits, it helps improve posture, enhances circulation, strengthens the immune system and nourishes the skin.
The emotional benefits are that it improves our self-image, releases emotional trauma, fosters a positive attitude and helps relieve grief.
The mental benefits are that it helps lower depression, relieves anxiety, promotes better focus and improves our mood.
Even if we have seemingly weathered well the storm of Covid 19, it has at some level affected us all. It’s time now to recalibrate, find nourishment and to move forward. Massage therapy and shiatsu should be part of your program of wellbeing.
